GEARING UP FOR EPATENTS

To use ePatents, please check the following:

Check List 1.

Check that your hardware and software meets at least the following requirements:

• Pentium Processor with at least 200MHz
• Win2000, Win XP Home/Professional, Win Vista
• Screen setting of 1024 X 768
• At least 200MB of available hard disk space
• At least 32 MBytes of RAM
• Network card or 56 Kbps modem or faster
• Internet access
• 1 CD-ROM drive (for installation carried out from CD-ROMs)
• Minimum requirement - 1 USB Port (for plugging of the Netrust token)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 to 7.0 (Best Viewed using IE 6.0)
• Printer (receipt printing for online patent transactions and printing of patent specifications)

Check List 2.

If you intend to carry out form submissions, you need to install the following software from Netrust:

• Safenet Borderless Security + ikey Driver v4.0.0.20
• EESP8
• ESPCOMPAT

This software allows ePatents to authenticate you when you login.

If you need to attach documents to your form submission, you need to install the following:

• Electronic Patent Preparation Software - EPP Software

This software allows you to create and encrypt your packages before submission.
