GETTING STARTED ONLINE

Please take note of the following before you proceed:

• A Personal Account User may only carry out form submissions relating to his own application or patent.

• A Corporate Account User may carry out form submissions relating to the corporation's own application or patent or where the firm is acting as agent. For incorporated companies, the persons registered as users must be persons who are authorised to transact on behalf of the company. In the case of law firms or registered patent agent firms, the user(s) named in the Corporate Account must be lawyer(s) or registered patent agent(s) of the firm.

To achieve reasonable performance in using the services of ePatents, please check that you have the required hardware and software.

To get started, follow the steps to be able to do online submissions.

Step 1 Registration

Online registration can be made at this website. You may select either Personal or Corporate account. At the end of your registration you will be given an Account ID and your ePatents password will be emailed to you subsequently.

Step 2 Subscription

Subscribers MUST be a resident in Singapore before he can proceed to apply for subscription. The transactions offered can be found in here.

(2) Original subscription form together with the required documentations may be sent by mail or courier to the      following address :-

     Applicants will be notified via email when the subscriber account has been activated. The list of required      documentations is stated in the subscription form.

* If you intend to make payment arrangements by GIRO, please submit the GIRO Authorisation form together with your Subscription form.

Step 3 Apply for Netrust Digital Certificate

Netrust certificates will have to be obtained from Netrust Pte Ltd and must be registered online before you proceed with online submissions.

For corporate subscribers, a corporate certificate tied to each individual user will have to be applied.

You are required to login to ePatents website before you can register your netrust certificate under Account Management - Register Netrust Certificate. You may refer to the Guide for ePatents Netrust users for special instructions on using Netrust Certificate in ePatents system.
