Distribution of Electronic Patent Preparation (EPP) version 3.2

In response to the discontinued production of Netrust version 3 Smart Cards by Gemplus, the Electronic Patent Preparation (EPP) software has been updated to version 3.2 to include the functionality to access disk-based/USB thumbdrive Netrust certificates. This version is only required by new subscribers using these new disk-based/thumbdrive certificates, or subscribers who convert to using disk-based/thumbdrive certificates due to lost or spoilt Smart Cards.

For existing subscribers with the Smart Card certificates, it is NOT necessary to upgrade to this new version. EPP version 3.1 can still be used for filing of patent forms for existing subscribers.

EPP version 3.2 will be distributed together with the issuance of the disk-based/thumbdrive certificates by Netrust Pte Ltd. The details on installation and configuration of EPP version 3.2 and Netrust Security Proxy (NSP) can be found in the packaged installation software provided.

Usage of EPP version 3.2 will commence with effect from 19 November 2007.
