Structural Data Fields

The following is the list of the searchable patent information included in the structural search.  The structural search fields are divided into date and text fields.

Date Field

The application provides the entry of the range of the dates.  This allows you to narrow your search to the specified range of date.  If you are only interested on the particular date, then you have to enter the same date for from and to date range.

  • Filing Date
  • Grant/Registration Date

Text Field

There is no restriction of the input length that you can key in for the text fields, and no verification of the input data will be done by the search engine.  If you have keyed in the wrong data format (ie. the information is correct but not in the correct format) for the particular field the system will return you No records are found.

Boolean Operators

NOT, AND, OR boolean operations are provided for the combined search across the different fields.

The priority of the boolean operators is in the order of top to bottom.

For example the search for A OR B AND C will be executed as (A OR B) AND C
