Views Option

Results Display Format

Order

This option allows you to define the order of the results list. For the simple and advanced search the order will be based on the application number.  For the patent specification search the result will be returned in the order of relevance.

Records/Page

Defines how many records to be viewed on each page.

Results Formatter

Results formatter allows you to select the information to be included on the results list.  The results formatter consists of two parts: i) the mandatory or fixed information, and ii) optional information.  All the patent information available in the results formatter are listed below.

• Publication Number*
• Title*
• Application Number*
• Filing Date
• Inventor(s)
• Applicant(s)
• International Patent Classification
• Abstract
• Drawing

Views Option

There are three different views available from the results list.  Each view will display the different information for the selected patent application.

This view will display basic patent information including the abstract and drawing if they are available.

Patent Register View

This view will display the patent bibliography, register and renewal information (if applicable).  From there you can choose to save the register extract to Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format, ASCII Text, or PDF formats.

Patent Specification View

This view will provide a specimen of first few page(s) of patent specification.  From there you can choose to download the entire specification image (in TIFF format).
